While getting my news fill for the day, I happened upon a study that shows the majority of children are opposed to children’s healthcare. Of the 2,000 children surveyed essentially all were opposed to vaccinations and shots, doctor visits, cough syrups and medicine of all kinds. This news was so shocking to me, I felt I had to share it with you.
Shocking, indeed. I would never have guessed. My children loved going to the doctor, getting sedatives so they could get a vaccine, and putting casts on broken hands. They couldn’t WAIT! I must live such a sheltered life.
When Damon was about 5 years old and had to get some shot at the doctors I told him I would give him $5 if he didn’t utter a sound when he got the shot. He didn’t even move a muscle but you could see the terror in his eyes. But money won out. Around the same time I offered him $5 to eat a cherry tomato (he never ate vegetables). He put it in his mouth, started chewing and threw up. No $5 that day.
