El Paso, 3:20 PM
110-degrees
5% humidity
I ended up re-doing Lily’s Diary in the hopes of getting a better shot. This was the best I could do (my tripod wasn’t cooperating for some unknown and mysterious reason). Lily, by the way, belongs to Little Miss Sew N’ Sew.

Buck is arguing with me right now because the Weather Channel is claiming it’s “only 99-degrees” right now. But according to my sources it’s 110. Buck — We need to buy one of those things you hang outside that tell you the temperature.
To whom it may concern,
Wendy is insane with her “110-degrees” comment. I have no idea where she’s getting her false figures, but I’d know if it was 110-degrees outside as I still have some of my senses left. It’s a balmy 99-degrees and I do have a thermometer outside recording it as such, but she and the voices in her head don’t believe me.
Senor Dollar
I don’t recall turning your computer on for you today so how is it that you’re on here? And as for your “balmy 99-degrees,” Texas hasn’t had a “balmy” day in all its history. Where is this fictitious thermometer of yours located, underground? Because underground would be about the only place in this town where it’s 99-degrees right now.
Oh, silly Buck – that is only because you didn’t do the math! Don’t you know that 99 degrees + 5 percent humidity = 110 degrees? Wendy is 100% right. Sorry. hehe.
Oh, by the way, I love altered art and Lily’s diary is adorable. She is definitely a pink lady!
I think that Lily’s Diary and the thought that went into it, Wendy, is the most touching thing I’ve ever seen. My eyes are full of tears, I’m really, really touched. And I want a pink laptop computer too! I settled for white. Black dresses rock but black laptops are just too boring for this fashionable duo here.
And I believe being 110 degrees. At probably 6pm your time, weather.com said 100. So, Wendy’s right. Sorry Buck.
@ teeni – Thanks for that math equation, I will be using it constantly from here on. And I love altered art too! If I had my way I’d cover every surface in the house with altered art, including my front door.
@ Little Miss- Thank you, but I feel guilty that it made you teary. Here I am using your dog for my own amusement. I’m just glad your not insulted.
And yes, see what I mean about the heat? I believe Buck defends El Paso like some sort of Texas ranger. He actually tells people he’s from Texas and gets made when I point out he’s from Boston and just happens to live in Texas. He loves that Chris Rea song by the way, all of Chris Rea’s music, and spent the evening listening to everything in Chris Rea’s discography. Thanks for finding him!
Lily’s diary is wonderful. I can’t wait to see Tessie’s diary. No pressure here. Just keep in mind Tessie loves me. Actually I think Tessie thinks I am a fat Barbara.
When the humidity is low and it is 110 degrees do you still sweat or as Barbara would say–perspire?
Even if Buck *did* happen to be right, 99 degrees??? 110??? I can’t believe you haven’t all just keeled over! I’m not going to complain about our cool 52 degrees anymore. (Well, maybe not, it would be nice to have SOME summer)
Lily’s diary page is absolutely FABULOUS! Who knew that dogs were so fashion conscious? I would say she should go for the subscription to W. Vogue and Elle are way too skanky. IMHO.
Re: the weather, it sounds like Señor Dollar maybe needs to do a little research on the southwestern dryness. Though of course I fully respect his concern in keeping the voices in your head accurate. My wife often needs such numerical corrections too, though she would kill me for saying so.
