Brooches and Memes

I was supposed to start a brooch/broach meme. It was Teeni’s idea, and very good one for which I give her full credit. I’ve been busy with work and just haven’t had time, and I apologize for this. The whole thing started with a post by Romi, that hilarious cutie from Canada who is on a quest for true love and wondered if wearing a broach might help her odds. Thankfully, Joan went ahead and posted her collection of brooches on her blog and it’s very cool. Thanks, Joan.
The spelling of brooch/broach has been debated within our Interblog lately, and I read on Joan’s blog that either is acceptable. I always prefer “brooch” because that’s how somebody in a Three Stooges short pronounced it, and I grew up on the Three Stooges so for me they will always be the definitive last word on many, many things. You can’t go wrong with the Three Stooges (except when it comes to Curly Joe … Curly Joe was very-very wrong).
There are obviously a lot of pin-lovers out there. I’m encouraging anyone who has a collection, or even a single pin they’d like to share, to post a photo of it. If I’m describing you then consider yourself tagged.
Awesome! I’m going to join in on this in a couple of days - I gotta go gather up all my brooches/broaches and get a photo of them to upload first. Oh yeah, and then there’s that matter of fixing the problem where you are not on my blogroll or in my reader! **rushes off to fix those things right away**
Haha, I love how this whole thing has mushroomed, and Joan’s collection is great!
@ Teeni - Excellent! But take your time, whenever you get around to it.
@ Romi - It’s probably mushroomed because you’re dealing with all of us old ladies (compared to you, Miss 27) who have a stock pile of brooches. Or maybe I should refer to us as your cheering section.

…and I’m not joking, when I find him, and when we have the extravagant wedding/celebration (after my parents calm down if he’s a white guy, haha), there is SERIOUSLY going to be a celebratory blog-meet-up somewhere in the US hosted by yours truly…SERIOUSLY
