I’m recuperating from some major dental work I had done yesterday. Yeah, I did it. I finally went over to Juarez to the dentist. I’m fine, but I’m not feeling very writey today. I did watch The Benchwarmers, however. I don’t know why that movie got such terrible reviews. It made me laugh.

You risked going into a drug war ravaged Juarez, for dental work?
You are a wild woman! Glad you made it back ok, and I hope you are feeling ALL better, real soon. Take care.
You were very brave. I’m glad you got out of there in one piece. Damon is having major dental work done too. During his “bad” days he didn’t take care of his teeth. He sure is paying for it now. He has to have partials. He had a zillion cavities. He had 6 teeth pulled. He’s lucky though, his girlfriend’s mother has a friend who is a dentist and is giving Damon an incredible price for all the work that has to be done.
@ Peter Parkour – Yeah, I went to Juarez and back and I’m still alive. I’m kind of amazed, myself. I do feel better, thank you.
@ Joan – I’m so glad Damon has hooked up with a dentist. I’m sure he’s not enjoying a second of it, but it’s a good thing.
“went to Juarez for some dental work…” sounds like it coulda been an opening line for a ( late, great ) Warren Z. song.
Hope the procedure wasn’t too awful and, if so, you were provided with suitable discomfort remedy, and you are feeling better.
@ sontagg montag – Geez, it really does sound like the opening line to a Warren Zevon song. Now that you mention it, I can actually hear him singing it.
As for the experience, let’s just say it was not my finest hour. And I didn’t even get any painkillers out of it. I suppose I could have gotten some, but there were complicated issues battling it out in my head … I suppose these issues would be better described as concerns. In the real world I wouldn’t have hesitated, but in Juarez …
I hope you’re feeling better, and I’m gonna be honest, I was scared when I was assigned the task to watch the Benchwarmers, but I laughed too!
I told Tom last week that when I have a spare $500, I’m going to go drag you with me to get veneers in Juarez. I can’t wait for you to recover to find out if your journey was worth it.
I hope you feel very well, and very writey soon.
That movie is am-ma-mazing! hahahahah I LOVE it! hahahahaha
@ Romi – Thanks, I do feel better. The Benchwarmers was funny, I don’t know what the critics’ problem was. Jon Heder is always funny. The rest of them were funny, too. Suck it, critics!
@ MBMQ – We’ll have to discuss that plan.
@ Lucky – It was! I loved the old guy who worked with David Spade at the video store … “I don’t even know who the hell you are.” Ha.
